Large Scale Projects

LIKAT will contribute to NFDI4Cat in the development of ontologies and data standards in homogeneous, heterogeneous catalysis as well as in chemical engineering. These standards
will be developed and coordinated with the participants from the same catalysis disciplines. In heterogeneous catalysis data are store already since more than 15 years in a “LIKATstandard”. We want to build upon this work and make the tools more flexible (include
homogeneous and phot catalysis). Moreover, describing catalyst synthesis in a structured form is a great challenge that we will address (together MPI CEC, TUB, FAU).

The RoHan DAAD SDG Graduate School is a cooperation between the University of Rostock together with the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis in Rostock and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam National University – University of Science in Hanoi, Vietnam. It enables the development and establishment of catalysis technologies and processes through the training of qualified Vietnamese scientists able to assume leadership positions in both industry and academia.

Funding: DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst e.V)

The core content of the project is the research and development of PtX processes for the establishment of a carbon recycling economy. The project work includes the design, construction, commissioning and operation of a high-quality pilot plant infrastructure with associated research capacities at the existing LIKAT site in Rostock.
