Supramolecular Catalysis
Prof. Olga Garcia Mancheno
Special attention of the research group “SupraCat” is dedicated to exploit weak, non-covalent and non-classical interactions to assist or tune catalysis, especially in the context of supramolecular catalysis. In particular, we have recently designed and developed new families of chiral triazole-based supramolecular systems that proved highly efficient in enantioselective anion-binding organocatalysis for the synthesis of added-value enantioenriched heterocyclic compounds. Furthermore, the effect of non-covalent interaction networks within organophotocatalysts to control and tune stability, and enable new reaction pathways and site-selectivity is another main focus of research.
