Process Development and Transfer
Dr. Christoph Wulf
The aim of the group is the development and optimisation of chemical processes and the transfer of scientific findings from the laboratory to pilot plants. A particular focus is on the production and utilisation of hydrogen and the development of a sustainable circular economy. This includes various Power-to-X (PtX) processes as well as the production and improvement of catalysts. In addition to heterogeneously catalysed processes, other topics characteristic of LIKAT such as homogeneous catalysis and the use of biogenic resources through catalytic conversion are also being addressed.
The following sub-areas are being worked on:
- Power-to-X (methanol & Fischer-Tropsch starting from carbon dioxide)
- Preparation of catalyst materials
- Electrolysis (AEM, PEM)
- Reverse-water-gas shift reaction
Transfer of innovative approaches both internally at LIKAT and with partners
