High-Throughput Technologies

Dr. Uwe Rodemerck

High-throughput technologies are effective tools for speeding-up R&D in catalysis since high numbers of potentially active catalytic materials can be automatically synthesized and tested for their catalytic performance.

In our research group high throughput technologies are developed as well as applied in searching for new, more effective heterogeneous catalysts for improved catalytic processes.

Our present activities include the following research fields

  • Effective search strategies for new catalysts
  • Parallel synthesis of solid catalytic materials by robots
  • Automatic catalytic performance tests in parallel fixed-bed reactors
  • Development of new catalysts by high-throughput technologies  (Examples)
