Fachoberschule Erlangen Fachoberschulabschluß in Fachrichtung Technik.

1981 - 1982

Studies at the Fachhochschule Nürnberg (Vorprüfung in Technischer Chemie).

1982 - 1988

Studies of chemistry at the University Würzburg and practical work for Diplom examination in the group of Erker with the title Metallocenes-oxo compound of zirconium.

1989 - 1995

Ph.D. thesis at the University Erlangen with PD. Dr. R. Herges and Prof. Schleyer. The title of Ph.D.: Synthesis and reaction of Tetradehydrodianthracen. End of Ph.D. thesis in June 1995.

1996 - 1998

Associate Researcher at the Institute of Organic Catalysis in Rostock (IfOK) and the TU Darmstadt (Prof. Elias) with Dr. D. Heller and Prof. Selke. My activity centers a kinetic model tests for asymmetric reactions by UV-spectros-copy.

Since 1998

Leader of project of amidocarbonylation, carbonylations and multi-component reactions at the Institute of Organic Catalysis (IfOK) in Rostock. Since 2006 the institute was renamed to Leibniz-Institute für Katalyse e.V. an der Universität Rostock (LIKAT).
